Who's in the wrong here?

My opinion is this: You have a right to tell whomever you want yes or no no matter what the situation may be. You worked hard for it and you wanted them to know. And you proved yourself to be responsible with your money. They are grown adults that are asking their child for money...hmmm that doesn't set a good example and that only tends to damage a relationship. I don't ask anyone for money because I know what my responsibilities are and I know what it takes in order to meet the needs. Sure life throws us some unexpected mishaps but that's life you find a way to make it through them such as selling things in order to get the money or working a second job. I find it to be disturbing that they are giving you a guilt trip when it's their own fault they were put in this situation. Now when someone brings up someone else when they are trying to prove a point that just shows their insecurities. No one is better than the other we all put our pants on the same way..one leg at a time. So you are not in the wrong by telling them no. I say high five! Stand up for yourself when you know you deserve it because no one else will.
