I dont know how to start my portable dvd player?

This may sound stupid, Do you have the DVD player plugged into the wall? If yes, then you should be able to 1st Turn your DVD to ON, 2nd Put DVD or CD in player, Press play and the DVD or CD should Load and then Play. If the light doesn't come on after you plug in and turn the DVD player to on then (make sure your DVD is inserted into the DVD player) then you may have problems.
