HE IS USING ME-HOW DO I STOP GOING BACK.?

I was with my ex for 7 yrs till we broke up in july. I wasn't bothered bout meeting guys till i was out with the girls one nite in february, the barman came onto me, gave me his num and we chatted and kissed. He works 4 days and off 3, 2 of which he spends with his daughter and he usually spends the other day with me. I never really hear from him unless he wants me to meet him and then of course we have . Im getting kind of fed-up with this now-should i ask him what he wants or is it obvious he just using and i just forget about him? I'm 29, he 48.
