Having troubles with connecting to internet on wii how do I configure my router Link SYS model "WRT54G"?

Ok now someone needs to take me through a step by step tutorial on how I configure my router which again is a Link SYS... I already know how to access my I.P. but I dont know what to do! I've tryd turning on ports unblocking restrictions etc. I've gone to LINK SYS's forums and they couldint help and I dont plan on accesing nintendo because other access ports work fine and It's the damn routers fault! Please help!!!!
