Is it proper ettiquet to apply for a job when you have a child of your own to watch?

I have a one year old. His father supports us and we are fortunate enough that I was and am able to stay home with our son. Yet, I cant stand not making some money for myself. I want my own money but I also need to full fill my standing obligation to my son. So my question is: Can I apply for a babysitting job when I have my own child to watch also? I feel very capable of watching two three even four children at a time. (no more than four) I want to know if it improper to apply for a Housekeeping or childcare job with having a one year old? Like would people ume I would be neglecting my son if I took him to work with me?
