How Long Will It Take To Charge my BLACKJACK 2 Phone If Its Completely Dead?

Ok last night my charge broke off the tip of the charger did. I was trying to get it to work properly i had to push it in more and it worked for a sec then it broke never had that problem before. But i looked it up and other people have had the same problem.So it was the charger messing up. I was on like one bar lastnight and when i woke up my phone was completely dead. I went to the store to find a charger and plugged it up it worked even tho its wasn't a samsung plug it seem to work just as well. So i figured since its plugged up and the red light is oni should be able to use it while its charging right? well it started to turn on and then it turn right back off again. when i turn the phone one the red light goes away and its then its dies.Does this mean i have to wait for a while to even turn it on? Does this mean i have to charge the phone enough for it to come on all the way. Ive never let it die all the way so i don't know how it works. If you know anything that could help i would appreciated it. Sucks when your phone don't work.
