At the end of Inception, was Leonardo DiCaprio in a dream?

After watching Inception for the tenth with a friend, we were a bit confused. At the end, I say that Leonardo DiCaprio was in a dream when he went back to visit his kids. My friend says he wasn't in a dream. So can anyone help settle this??
